Last night, Michael and I hosted our annual family Spooktacular Supper. The menu consisted of: Batwing Bites (olive tapenade on crackers), Scarecrow Stuffing (cheese puffs - pretzels - corn chips), Swamp Grass (salad), Frankie's Favorite Biscuits, Mummy's Eyes (cake pops), Witch Hazel Brew with Goblin Parts (soup and garnishes) and Bone Chillah (grapefruit soda with white grape juice concentrate) to drink. There was plenty of food but little space at the table. We need to find a better way to fit all these bodies at dinner. The costumes were so creative, like Justus in his Lego Man outfit or Andrea and Jayson as Truckers. Michael was Hawaiian Guy and I was a Spanish Flamenco Dancer. I know, I know. It's hard to believe that I wasn't a witch again this year.
After dinner, we celebrated my birthday with a delicious, beautiful Tres Leche cake that Brandon, Nancy and Javier brought me. Yum! Guilty. I had a bite. After some cake, the kids (and Michael) watched Disney's Ichabod Crane and The Headless Horseman while we set up the cupcake decorating station. I was too busy to take more photos but the one we have are... priceless.
