I Believe

I received this link from my Mom - the photography and music are beautiful. I think I'll watch it every morning for a while. It is inspiring. http://www.andiesisle.com/creation/magnificent.html

Sweethearts

Yesterday, I had both Carter and Justus for the day. It was non-stop play all-day. There was plenty of Wii, jumping on a trampoline, water fun, Legos and remote-control mania. But the highlight of the day was our first-time visit to the Discovery Center at Gateway. I had to drag those two little boys out by the ears - we were nearly the last ones to leave. It was a great adventure - just look at the pictures. Justus and Carter play so well together. In fact, at one point Justus said to Carter, "You don't fill it up like that sweetheart!" How cute is that?

2010 Cupcake Throwdown

Yesterday, family and friends gathered together to eat dinner and then compete in our annual Recipe Throwdown competition. This year we selected cupcakes as the food of choice. Our wonderful neighbors, Howard and Rebekah, along with brother Rick were the esteemed judges. This year's winner's were: First Place - Carly H., Death Chocolate; Second Place - Andrea, Cookie Dough; and Third Place - Michael, Oreo Cookie. There was stiff competition from the White Trash Peanutbutter, Coconut Cherry, and S'Mores cupcakes. There was a little arguing with the judges and among the judges and a lot of cupcake eating - all in all it was another successful family event!

Camp-pa Wilcock

Last Thursday, I headed up to the family cabin that my dad is building by himself. I'm the only family member who doesn't have a "real" job or young children at home - plus I wanted to spend some time with my dad. Friday night Michael brought Justus and Carter up to spend the night and do some fishing. The boys had a great time - they played on the dirt hills, built a hut, shot a bow and arrow and rode the ATV. Justus wasn't sure what to call Grandpa Wilcock so he came up with Camp-pa. I can't tell you how cute it was to watch those two boys follow my dad around calling him Camp-pa. I am so thankful that my dad is crafting a special place for all of us to create memories together!

I Love Ya Tomorrow

Thursday night, Michael and I went to see Lyndi and Mckenzie perform in a neighborhood production of Annie Jr. The play was held at the Layton High School Little Theater and boy were we impressed. So much talent from a cast of about 30 children. And, of course, two of the best little talents, playing Tess, were Mckenzie and Lyndi! From Lyndi's, "Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness." to Kenzie's back handsprings and beautiful singing voice - we were delighted from beginning to end. Thanks for sharing your talent girls!
