Always Catching Up

Life just gets busier and busier... but I really wouldn't have it any other way.

The challenge for me is that I've taken on a full-time job and another blog - homegirlgoesboom.com. So this family-style, personal blog is not getting the attention it deserves. Until I can get it together - for now it will probably play out like a quick travelogue of our life's adventures.

Me skiing - less than I'd like in 2010-2011!

A few Jazz games - thanks Carly H.!

Saturday soccer games!

Chasing the Food Network Great Food Truck Race in SLC!

Enjoying a fabulous Stay-cation with Les Miserables, The Melting Pot, bowling, movies, Bruges Waffles, shopping, downtown tours, and plenty of time to relax. All lovingly planned by Michael! P.S. That's Michael giving everyone the 'what-for' at a lectern at the Conference Center.

We also had a wonderful Easter brunch and egg hunt and some memorable times with our family. I definitely need to take more pictures!

Blushing Plum Salon - Homestyle Version

As part of Andrea and Jayson's preparation for adopting a baby, they recently finished a salon and extra bathroom in their home.

Now Andrea can work from home and be a mommy. My daughters have an excellent eye for design! Don't you agree?

Triple D Lives On!

This afternoon Michael called out, "I'm putting a pin in the map!" He was referring to the fact that last night we went to our final Utah Diner's, Drive-ins, and Dives location - we had dinner at the Red Iguana. We ordered the delicious chicken-cheese quesadilla and a carne asada burrito - maybe next time we'll be brave enough to try the mole. For the uninitiated - mole (pronounced mo-lay) is made up of an array of spices, dried fruits, and Mexican chocolate.

In December, we went to the Blue Plate Diner, another Triple D location. We had an amazing breakfast with Carter in tow.
I think to date, we have now visited more than 20 Diner's, Drive-ins, and Dives.

Woo-eee! I think I better go out and run around the block a hundred times!

Mi Ranchito

It's been a Bowman thing for a while - Dinner at Mi Ranchito. Our grandson, Justus, is addicted to the food so we met up with the boy - his mom, Carly and little brother Levi for dinner.

The treat that night was a rousing rendition of the People on the Bus performed by the ever-adorable Levi.

Reformed Blogger

It's been too long since my last post which is crazy because that's what I do for a living - I write an minimum of three blog posts a day for other businesses so there's not excuse. So what's been happening along the front lines of our family since my last post.

Here's the rundown: Carter's Birthday - Wonderful Christmas - Ethan's Birthday - Snowshoeing to Doughnut Falls - and Georgie the Cat Comes to Stay for Awhile.

Determined to Ski

Last Wednesday, Carter was determined to ski - even if it meant chugging through the snow, over to the little slope in the backyard and then... down the hill in two seconds. Only to do it about 10 more times. You can see the pure joy on his face.

Thanksgiving Day - Simply Yum

We enjoyed a wonderful, somewhat restful, Thanksgiving Day in 2010. I am so grateful for our family, good friends, plenty-of-everything and the snow.
