Dad's Cabin 2010

You probably can’t tell by looking at the pictures but Dad’s hard-earned, hand-built cabin should be completed in Spring 2011. My father has practically built this huge cabin by himself! We try to go up and help him when we can – but wow! – my dad is my hero.

We were there this past Friday and Saturday to enjoy some fishing, four-wheeling and, of course, work on the cabin. Since my father spends so much time at the property, he's made a lot of little friends. In fact, he has become the protector and provider of the local wildlife, especially the chipmunks, birds, rabbits and squirrels. He feeds them and even made them a little swimming pool for the critters. We had so much fun watching them eat and play.

I noticed when I was up there that most of the property owners have named their cabins and land – my favorite is Moose Tooth. I need to spend some time thinking about some names for Dad and Pam. So far I only have Elk Belch, The Munk House and Chipmunk Cottage. I could use some help here!
